The main objective of this system is to achieve a continuous heat supply from the inherent batch operation of the steel furnace.

The steel production is divided into 7 single processes, and each process is comprised of raw material input, production output and intermediate storage.
Steel production is one of the most energy-intensive industries on demand side. Highly distributed energy resource-penetrated multi-energy microgrids (MEMGs) with (CHP) units can supply both electricity and heat while the by-product coal gases during manufacturing can be reused for onsite power supply.
