It includes: Battery modules (usually LiFePO₄) Battery Management System (BMS) Power Conversion System (PCS/inverter) Energy Management System (EMS) Thermal management and protective enclosures These systems work together for smart control, safety, and efficient energy use.
As shown in Fig. 3, the BESS consists of 50 containers, each of which is a sub unit of 1 MW/2 MWh. Each 1 MW/2 MWh energy storage container includes two sets of 500 kW PCS, 2 MWh battery and corresponding battery management system.
