With a solar power system in place, homeowners can enjoy a continuous power supply, regardless of any disruptions in the grid.
Embracing solar energy in Ghana offers substantial cost savings, a significant draw for many homeowners. Traditional electricity sources, often dependent on fossil fuels, are subject to price fluctuations that can strain household budgets. Solar power, leveraging Ghana's abundant sunlight, provides a more stable and predictable cost.
The primary energy source in Ghana is oil and biomass, with shares of 42.5% and 40.6%, respectively. The national energy mix in 2017, as shown in Fig. 1., also includes small shares of natural gas (11.9%) and hydro (5.0%).
